Calibration & Mesh Warp


Calibration

The Calibration function is disabled by default in the iOS Application to avoid modification by users in shared units. It can be enabled / disabled from the Apple device Settings > Apps > MK360 App > Calibration.


  


360° Image Calibration

  1. Navigate to Settings > Calibration.
  2. Position the center of the grid at the desired position using the touchpad. The horizontal red line should be straight and parallel to the ground.
  3. Select any content for playback to exit calibration and save settings.

    


Flat Image Calibration

  1. Navigate to Settings > Calibration.
  2. Select the Flat Image icon.
  3. Adjust the window at the desired size and position using the touchpad.
  4. Select any content for playback to exit calibration and save settings.

     


Mesh Warp

The Mesh Warp can be applied to all videos by default, or to each individual video. A Mesh Warp applied to an individual video will override the default Mesh Warp.

 

Create a default Mesh Warp

  1. Navigate to Settings > Calibration. 
  2. Select Warp Grid: a warp grid is displayed.
  3. Click and drag each anchor point to the desired position.
  4. Click “Save”, then “Cancel”.

         


Create an individual Mesh Warp

  1. Select the desired video for playback.
  2. In the pop-up navigation window, select Warp Grid
  3. Click and drag each anchor point to the desired position.
  4. Click “Save”, then “Cancel”.

 

Manage Mesh Warps

  1. Save: save the mesh warp settings for the video.
  2. Load: revert to the latest saved settings.
  3. Reset: reset the mesh warp to the default settings.

 

Inverted Mask

The Inverted Mask applies a black mask to avoid projection in a user defined portion of the displayed surface. 

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Enable “Inverted Mask”: a black mask is overlaid to the display.
  3. Navigate to Settings > Calibration. 
  4. Select Warp Grid > Inverted Mask.
  5. Click and drag each anchor point to the desired position.
  6. Click “Save”, then “Cancel”.
