Procedure
General Instructions:
- While the video plays, the therapist instructs the participants to stay focused on the scene.
- After a reasonable time at the therapist’s discretion, the video is paused.
- The participants are asked one at a time to remember the details mentioned by the therapist.
- After attempting to answer all the questions, the therapist plays the video a second time and asks the questions again, this time to be answered and completed as a group.
- The video can be paused at will to give sufficient time for the participants to spot, remember and formulate the answers.
Variation 1 - Detail Recollection
- The therapist names visual details as they appear in the video.
- The participants are asked to remember and repeat the details.
Variation 2 - Story Recollection
- The therapist makes up a background story for the person or persons appearing in the video.
- The participants are asked to remember and repeat the stories.
Variation 3 - Memory and Creativity
- The participants are asked to make up facts about the persons appearing in the video: name, age, profession, nationality, mood.
