Destination Selection:
Each participant is asked to name a destination they have lived in or visited before.
The facilitator then locates and sets up the chosen destination on a map using a street view application.
Orientation and Familiarization:
Participants spend a few moments familiarizing themselves with the virtual street view of the selected destination.
They observe the surroundings, landmarks, and notable features to establish a mental map of the area.
Guided Tour:
One participant starts as the "guide," while the others act as "travelers."
The guide verbally provides cues and directions to navigate through the virtual destination to the travelers.
The guide must use clear, descriptive language to guide the travelers along a designated route or to specific points of interest.
Traveler Experience:
The travelers actively listen to the guide's instructions and follow the virtual tour accordingly, attempting to recreate the route through the destination.
They can ask questions or seek clarifications from the guide if needed.
Rotation and Role Switching:
After completing the guided tour, the control device is passed on to another participant who becomes the new guide.
The process repeats, allowing each participant to take turns being both a guide and a traveler.
Discussion and Reflection:
Encourage participants to discuss their experiences and observations after each round.
Facilitate a conversation about challenges faced, successful strategies used, and memorable aspects of the virtual guided tour.
Recall and retain information about familiar places
Practice clear and effective verbal cues and instructions
Engage in active listening, collaboration, and discussion within the group
