Procedure

  1. Instructions:
    1. Each participant is assigned a number.
    2. When the therapist says a number, the corresponding participant must add this number to the previous sum given by the previous participant.
    3. Through this exercise, the participants are required to solve arithmetic problems while ignoring the interfering visual and audio stimuli.
  2. Variations:
    1. The exercise can be adapted according to the ability of the participants, for example:
      1. Less complex: when their number is called out, each participant must add 1 to the previous sum.
      2. More complex: each called out number is assigned with a different type of operation (add, subtract, multiply, …).
