Procedure

  1. Setup:

    1. Prepare the immersive video of underwater scenes, showcasing various marine species such as fish, dolphins, manta rays, and whales.
    2. Create a safe and spacious environment for the participants to move around without colliding with each other.
    3. Gather the participants and ensure they are physically ready for the activity.
  2. Introduction:

    1. Familiarize the participants with the concept of simulating different swimming styles while engaging with the underwater video.
  3. Swimming Style Instructions:

    1. The therapist begins the activity by naming different swimming styles, such as freestyle stroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke.
    2. Each swimming style is alternated every minute.
    3. Encourage participants to listen carefully to the therapist's instructions and be ready to switch to the next swimming style.
  4. Simulating Swimming Styles:

    1. On the therapist's cue, participants start simulating the announced swimming style in the virtual underwater environment.
    2. Participants should focus on maintaining correct form and coordination while performing each swimming style.
  5. Concentration on Underwater Species:

    1. During the activity, participants are required to concentrate on the immersive underwater video, observing and identifying the various marine species, such as fish, dolphins, manta rays, and whales.
    2. Encourage participants to immerse themselves in the virtual underwater world and enjoy the experience.
  6. Social Interaction and Coordination:

    1. As participants navigate the virtual underwater space, they must be mindful of each other's movements to avoid collisions.

  7. Cool Down:

    1. After a designated time, signal the participants to slow down their movements and gradually transition to a relaxed state.
    2. Allow the participants to take a moment to relax and catch their breath.
